I know everyone is excited about our upcoming Multiplication Bee on Thursday, September 29th and Friday, September 30th. In order for your child to "bee" successful he/she must practice as much as possible. Flash cards can get old after a while so here is a really great website for your child to practice multiplication facts. The site allows them to create an online cartoon avatar (digital representation) and then practice math facts in order to earn carrot sticks (points). The best part is they can find other students at our school (and other schools) and compete online against each other (3rd graders competing against 5th graders, other teachers, etc). The site is safe and does NOT have any kind of online chat component.
Directions:
Click on the link below. Click "play now" at the top, in white.
Then it will allow each student to create their log in and create a password
(I suggest: first name/grade number (ex:jason5) for both the log in and password). Make sure to select multiplication before you begin playing.
Have Fun!!
