Week two was another success! I hope everyone has a chance to relax and enjoy your three day weekend. When school resumes we will have a lot to cover. In math we are finishing our last week of place value focusing on comparing and ordering numbers. We will have a test on Friday over this unit. Science next week will consist of a lab safety and science tools assessment on Tuesday, and then we will begin studying physical states of matter. We will continue our tour of Texas regions in social studies.  On Tuesday afternoon we will have a special guest speaker during our language arts block. Adam Winkler (the sports guy from K-Eye news) will come talk to all of fourth grade about how writing has helped him become successful.  The rest of the week we will focus on characterization, and parts of speech such as nouns, verbs, action verbs, and adverbs.
