Another successful week has passed! Next week during math we will finish our decimal unit and take a test on Friday. In science we will begin studying weather. We will focus on how to use weather patterns to predict the weather. During social studies we will discuss Martin Luther King Jr. and continue to study Texas statehood. In language arts we will be reading and writing persuasive texts. Our main focus in writing is voice. Students will learn how to make their papers sound like themselves. Homework will follow the usual pattern with spelling and vocabulary sentences on Tuesday, math homework and spelling on Wednesday, and summary writing on Thursday. Please remember there is no school on Monday in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Don’t forget all Science Fair projects are due on Wednesday, January 25, and Science Fair Night is Thursday, January 26th.
