December 3 - 7

I can't believe it is already December. We have accomplished so much, yet we still have so much to do. Next week in math, students will continue to study fractions and will take a test on Friday. In science, students will study changes to land. On Monday, teachers will discuss the Science Fair expectations with their students. All fourth graders are required to complete a Science Fair project. December is a good month to think about possible projects and decide on one. During social studies, students will discuss the causes and effects of the Texas Revolution. In language arts, we will continue to research important people from history and began writing biographies about them. We will also compare authors' biographies to the fictional stories they write. Don't forget Wednesday is Early Release. All students will be dismissed at 12:45. Also, fall picture retake is Wednesday as well. Next week our school is hosting the Book Fair. Family night for the Book Fair is on Tuesday. If you have not yet ordered a class T-shirt, please do so as soon as possible so that we can wear them on our field trip on December 18th. As always, feel free to contact me should you have any questions or concerns. Have a wonderful weekend!

Mrs. Drain
