November 19 - 20

Thank you so much to everyone who came to our Poetry Slam! I know my students really enjoyed having such a great audience. Next week is a short week, just two days. However, we will still be very busy. In math, students will solve problems involving 2 digit multiplication. They have a multiplication and combinations assessment on Tuesday. During science, students will conduct experiments to test the effects of gravity. In social studies, students will study colonization in Texas. During language arts, we are going to review writing a personal narrative and practice reading comprehension skills. Also, we are going to select a topic for a research project. Students will research someone important from our history when we return from our break. Please remember there is no school on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday in observation of Thanksgiving. One last thing, all fourth graders have earned Crazy Hat Day for following cafeteria expectations. Crazy Hat Day is Tuesday, November 20th. As always, feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. I hope everyone has a safe and relaxing break.
