We had a fantastic first week back. I know next week will be just as great. In math next week, students will order decimals on a number line and add and subtract them. In science, students will study the Earth's natural resources. During social studies, students will learn about the Republic of Texas and statehood. In language arts, we will continue to study folktales, characters, and theme. Also, students will compose a personal narrative about a time he/she was surprised. Students are now required to read at least 25 minutes every night and complete a basic facts multiplication worksheet. Please check your child's agenda every night for any other assignments and information. Report cards from the 2nd nine weeks of school will be sent home on Monday. Our Explorer Excellence Awards Ceremony is Tuesday at 8:45 in the cafeteria. Please don't forget that Ms. Leining is offering support with science projects every Thursday after school from 3:00-4:00. All science projects are due on January 30th. As always, feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for your continuous support! Have a great weekend!
