I am really looking forward to starting another week with my amazing students! Next week in math, students will continue to work on adding and subtracting decimals. In science, students will study natural resources and ways to conserve them. During social studies, students will continue to study the Republic of Texas and statehood. In language arts, students will write another personal narrative. They will also continue to study folktales focusing on "trickster" characters. Please remember that there is no school on Monday in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Also, don't forget that Ms. Leining is offering support with Science Fair projects on Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00-4:00. All projects are due January 30th. One last thing...fourth grade has only received a few bags of Hershey kisses for our Kiss-O-Gram fundraiser in February. In order for our fundraiser to be successful, we are asking for donations. We need bags of Hershey kisses (any flavor without nuts) and plastic sandwich bags. Please send these items to school with your child as soon as possible. Also, if you would like to volunteer to help sell Kiss-O-Grams, please send me an email. The fundraiser will run from February 4-13 during the lunch block. As always, feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Have a wonderful three day weekend!
Mrs. Drain
