January 28 - February 1

I can't believe we are already in the month of February. Over the next few months, we will continue to follow a very busy schedule. In math next week, students will begin a measurement unit. During science, they will study weather. In social studies, students will continue to talk about Texas statehood. Next week in language arts, students will finish their personal narratives and continue to study characters. Please make sure your child is reading at least 25 minutes every night as well as completing any other homework assignments. Fourth grade is still in need of Hershey Kisses (no nuts) and plastic sandwich bags for our upcoming Kiss-O-Gram Fundraiser. Please send these items to school with your child as soon as possible. Also, if you would like to volunteer to sell Kiss-O-Grams during the lunch block from February 4-13, please send me an email. Don't forget that all Science Fair projects are due Wednesday, January 30th and Science Fair Night is Thursday, January 31st. One last thing...we have another spirit day on Tuesday, January 29th. Students will "kick-off" the second half of the school year with western wear. As always, feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Have a wonderful weekend!

Mrs. Drain
