Another great week has come and gone, and we have a very busy week ahead. Next week in math, students will study area, perimeter, and estimate volume. In science, students will continue to study weather. During social studies, students will continue to discuss statehood. In language arts, we will begin a drama unit. Students will read dramas and study the characters and plots of their plays. We will also begin work on another personal narrative. Please remember that next Wednesday is Early Release. All students will be dismissed at 12:45. Also, on Thursday all fourth graders will take a practice STAAR writing test. We are going to treat this day like the real test, so please ensure that your child gets a good night's sleep, eats a filling breakfast, and arrives to school on time. Testing will occur next Tuesday and Thursday at Wells Branch, so no visitors will be allowed on campus. One last thing...Thank you all so much for your Kiss-O-Gram donations! We really appreciate it. If you would still like to donate, we are in need of plastic sandwich bags. Our Kiss-O-Gram fundraiser will take place February 4, 6, 8, and 11-13. If you would like to help sell Kiss-O-Grams, please send me an email. Thank you all very much for your continuous support! As always, feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Have a wonderful weekend!
Mrs. Drain
