I can't believe we are down to the last nine weeks of school! We still have a lot to learn before school is out. In math, students will begin a geometry unit focusing on types of lines and angles. During science, students will begin a unit on adaptations. In social studies, students will learn about reconstruction after the Civil War. During language arts, we will finish our expository unit. Students will write another expository paper about an important lesson that they have learned. Also, students will read and compare/contrast expository texts. Please remember we only have two weeks before we take our Writing STAAR Tests on April 2 and 3. On Tuesday, March 19, we are hosting a STAAR Information Night for parents from 6:30-7:30. Please join us to learn all about the STAAR tests. Also, during the next few months, it is very important that students complete all their homework and attend school everyday to prepare for their upcoming tests. I hope everyone has a safe and relaxing Spring Break. Please make sure that your child continues to read daily and practice his/her math facts. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
