Next week is the last week of instruction before we take our STAAR Writing Test. It is very important for your child to be at school every day ready to work. During language arts, we will focus heavily on writing. We will revisit old compositions and practice revising and editing passages. In math, students will continue to study geometry. During science, students will learn about inherited traits and learned behaviors. In social studies, students will discuss development and railroads in Texas. Report cards for the 3rd nine weeks will be sent home on Monday, and our Explorer Excellence Awards Ceremony is Tuesday at 8:45 in the cafeteria. Please remember that there is no school on Friday. One last thing...We are still in need of donations for the Spring Festival. We are asking for cooking/baking items to fill our baskets for the silent auction, as well as colored hairspray for our fourth grade booth.
