September 16 - 20

Another great week of learning has passed! We really enjoyed our author visit today. Phil Bildner did a great job talking to all the fourth graders about writing workshop. Next week will be just as busy and successful. In math, students will discuss strategies for multiplying by fives, twos, and tens. During science, students will classify matter. In social studies, students will continue to explore the different regions of Texas. Next week in writing, we will revise, edit, and publish our first narrative composition of the year. In reading, we will read fictional texts and analyze the plot. Homework will follow the usual pattern next week. Please also make sure your child is reading for at least 20 minutes every night and practicing multiplication facts. As always, feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Have a wonderful weekend!
