In the coming week we will continue to learn strategies to master basic multiplication facts. We will practice these facts through word problems. On Thursday we will hold our class Multiplication Bee. The top two winners from the class will compete in the fourth grade Multiplication Bee on Friday. Please make sure your child is practicing every night. In science we will continue our study on mixtures and solutions with an assessment on Friday. During social studies we will continue to research Native Americans of Texas and develop artifacts that depict each tribe. In language arts we will continue researching for our biographies using multiple resources. We will then turn our information into a well written biography with a works cited page. Homework this week will include math on Monday and Wednesday, vocabulary development on Tuesday, and summary writing on Thursday. Please make sure your child is reading every night for at least 20 minutes. Have a wonderful weekend!
