What a fantastic week! I am very proud of all my students for working so hard to learn their basic multiplication facts! Knowing these will help us with almost every other unit in fourth grade. Next week in math we will begin a unit on patterns and relationships within tables. During science we will revisit the physical properties of matter and explore them during a lab investigation on Wednesday. In social studies we will finish our Native Americans research, design/draw our artifacts, and tour our class artifact museum. Next week in language arts we will put the finishing touches on our biographies and prepare for our presentations. Each child is asked to have either a prop for his/her presentation or to come in costume. Presentations will begin on Thursday and continue on Friday. Don’t forget to cut out and send Box Tops to school with your child. Last year Wells Branch raised $1,200. Our goal this year is to surpass the $1,200 mark. Keep in mind there are prizes for the class that collects the most Box Tops. Also, next Thursday is McTeacher Night at McDonald’s on the corner of Wells Branch Parkway and Mopac. Come have dinner with your family and help our school raise some money. Have a great weekend!
