I can’t believe it is almost February! We have a lot to look forward this coming week. In math we will finish up our geometry unit and take a test on Friday. During science, we will begin a unit on the water cycle and study the effects the sun has on the earth. In social studies we will continue to discuss the effects the Civil War and reconstruction had on Texas. During our language arts block, we will finish writing our persuasive essays and turn them into a product (commercial, billboard, radio announcement, etc.). Math homework will be assigned on Monday and Wednesday. Tuesday night’s homework will be a proofreading for spelling worksheet, and Thursday night’s homework will be a short reading passage with questions. Please make sure your child is reading every night for at least 20 minutes. Also, we are still in need of donations for our Kiss-O-Gram fundraiser. Please send bags of Hershey kisses (no nuts) and plastic sandwich bags to school with your child as soon as possible. Don’t forget that early release is next Wednesday. Thank you so much for all of your continuous support! Enjoy your weekend!
