Spring Break is one week away! I think both the students and the teachers are ready for a little time off. Next week in math, we will study temperature. We are going to compare temperatures, read and create graphs, and read thermometers. We will have a short quiz on Friday over temperature. In science, we will finish our food webs unit and take a test on Friday. During social studies, we will continue to talk about Texas during the turn of the 20th century. In our language arts block, we will write another personal narrative and practice revising and editing every day. We will also continue to study folk tales. Homework will follow the usual pattern next week. Please remember next Wednesday, March 7th, is early release. School will dismiss at 12:45. One last thing…Spring Festival is right around the corner (March 31st). Fourth is putting together two baskets for the auction. Our themes are cooking/baking and fun in the sun. We are asking for donations to fill our baskets. Anything relating to the themes would be appreciated. Also, volunteer forms for Spring Festival were sent home in Thursday folders this past week. If you would like to volunteer please fill out the form (green paper) and send it back to school with your child. The class with the most volunteer hours will get to throw water balloons at the coaches! Feel free to contact me should you have any questions or concerns. Thank you all very much for your continuous support! Have great weekend!
Mrs. Drain
