This school year is flying by! We have another very busy week ahead of us. In math next week, students will be studying the relationship of numbers in tables. During science, students will learn how heat can cause matter to change states. In social studies, students will study Native Americans in Texas. During our language arts block, we will continue to study expository texts in reading and writing. All students will write an expository essay explaining what they want to be when they grow up. In reading, we will discuss cause/effect relationships in nonfiction texts. We will also sequence and compare these texts. If you have not signed up for Fall Parent Conferences yet, please do so immediately. You can sign up by clicking on the link titled Fall Conference Sign-Up Form on the left side of the blog. Also, if your child likes to draw and has artistic abilities, please encourage him/her to submit a yearbook cover entry to Ms. Leining no later than October 8th. As always, feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Have a fabulous weekend!
Mrs. Drain
