I can't believe we are already in the last week of September! Next week in math, students will finish their multiplication unit and take a test on Friday. Also, don't forget that the 3rd Annual Multiplication Bee will take place on Thursday during class. The grade level championship will be held on Friday at 8:10. Please make sure your child is practicing his/her multiplication facts every night. In science, the students will finish discussing matter and take a test on Friday. During social studies, students will discuss the four main regions of Texas. In our language arts block, we will be studying expository texts. Students will learn that an expository paper explains something and gives supporting reasons. We will also discuss main idea and details and facts and opinions. Please make sure your child reads every night for at least 20 minutes and fills out his/her reading log. If you have not signed up for fall parent conferences on Monday, October 8th, please do so as soon as possible. You can sign up by clicking on the link titled Fall Conference Sign-Up Form. It is located on the top left side of the blog. As always, feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Have a wonderful weekend!
Mrs. Drain
