I can't believe we are almost through October! This school year is flying by! Next week in math, students will begin studying division. In science, students will study forms of energy, electricity, insulators, and conductors. During social studies, we will study the colonization of Texas. In language arts, we are going to begin a poetry unit. Students will study the structural elements of poetry, types of poetry, and imagery. They will also generate a list of poetry topics to write about. As many of you know, next Wednesday is Halloween. Please remind your students that they are not allowed to wear their costumes to school. Also, next week marks the beginning of the second nine weeks. Report cards for the first nine weeks will go home on Tuesday, November 6th. Please don't forget to remind your child about Breakfast Club in Ms. Losli's room every morning from 7:15-7:35. This is a great opportunity to receive homework and classwork help. If your child attends Breakfast Club, he/she will receive a Dojo point for effort. I really appreciate your continuous support!
